Does comparison sometimes come creeping in? Do you look around and wonder, “when will it happen for me?”
I do the same thing.
It’s hard not to hold yourself up against your peers, co-workers, family and friends…or even people you follow on social media.
It’s common to feel discouraged if we see everyone around us fulfilling their dreams while we are still trying to figure ours out.
God gives all of us unique talents and gifts. Our job is to be obedient and faithful.
Learning to be content right where God has you is such a gift.
Someone else’s success doesn’t mean the absence of yours.
Remain faithful and steadfast in all you do; God sees every detail and He will reward you in His time. We are reminded of this in Philippians 4:11-13 which reads,
”Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.“
Keep going, keep showing up and doing the hard work. Every little thing matters to Him who gives you strength.
What is an area in your life where you struggle with comparison?
Have a wonderful weekend!
We gain more daylight on Sunday, Yay!!!
It will take me a few days to adjust to the daylight savings, but I love the longer days and more light.
